Job description

Contract Quality Engineer needed through January (Estimated contract length) . Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM (But there is flexibility) Position SummaryThe Junior Quality Engineer will work closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to identify quality issues, support root-cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing , manufacturing processes, inspection methods, supplier quality, non-conformance management, corrective action, and continuous improvement. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Systems & AS9100-Support the implementation and maintenance of the AS9100 Quality Management System.-Assist with internal audits, process audits, and customer/regulatory audits.-Support preparation of objective evidence for AS9100 requirements.-Maintain quality records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.-Assist with monitoring Quality KPIs and identifying trends requiring corrective action.-Support document and process changes in accordance with established & Product Quality-Support production and inspection personnel with quality-related issues.-Review drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements.-Assist with determining inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.-Perform or support first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.-Investigate defects and manufacturing process issues.-Assist in identifying opportunities to prevent defects and improve process capability.-Participate in production meetings and corrective action & Corrective Action-Assist with the identification, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming material.-Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action investigations.-Support 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and other problem-solving methodologies.-Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.-Track corrective actions to completion and maintain supporting documentation.-Analyze quality data to identify recurring defects and improvement , Certificates of Conformance, inspection reports, and other quality records.-Support supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).-Assist with supplier performance monitoring and quality metrics.-Support supplier audits and qualification activities as , Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.-Analyze scrap, rework, defects, and other quality data provide recommendations for improvement-Assist with process improvement projects designed to reduce defects and improve efficiency.-Support development and implementation of standardized work and inspection & Reporting-Maintain accurate quality records and databases.-Prepare quality reports, charts, and trend analysis.-Assist with updating procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and quality forms.-Ensure quality documentation is accurate, traceable, and properly controlled. Required Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.-0-3 years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience preferred.-Basic understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.-Basic understanding of root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.-Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and management , 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto analysis, SPC, FMEA, or Control Plans.-Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI).-Familiarity with NCR/MRB processes and nonconforming material control.
