Tax Senior
A highly respected and growing CPA firm based in Oakland, CA is looking to add an experienced Tax Senior to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to join a stable firm where they can work directly with clients, expand their tax expertise, and build a long-term career.
The firm has experienced continued growth and is seeking a Tax Senior with strong tax preparation experience, particularly with trust returns. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable handling a variety of tax engagements in a public accounting environment.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Tax Senior Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of federal and state tax returns
- Prepare and review tax-related reports and workpapers
- Prepare and review complex trust returns
- Work directly with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions
- Assist with tax planning and research as needed
- Manage multiple engagements and meet client deadlines
- Collaborate with other members of the tax team to provide high-quality client service
Tax Senior Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting
- Strong tax preparation experience
- Heavy experience preparing trust returns is required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Tax Senior Compensation & Benefits:
- $100,000–$120,000 base salary, depending on experience
