Project Manager Strategic Initiatives

Allen, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth area) | Hybrid, on-site 3x/week | Full time

CYPFER is a true first-responder Cybersecurity organization enabling clients to return to business rapidly, the right way, following a cyber-attack. We are a global market leader in ransomware post-breach remediation and cyber-attack first response. We deliver results that far surpass market statistics for cyber-extortion and ransomware events. Our team of cybersecurity professionals works with prominent global insurance carriers, leading law firms, and Fortune 1000 businesses.

The Role

We are hiring a Project Manager to lead CYPFER's internal strategic initiatives: the cross-functional projects that make the company faster, more scalable, and more profitable. You will report to the VP of PMO and partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, Legal, and other groups to turn priorities into delivered results.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives end to end: Define scope, goals, success metrics, timelines, and resourcing for each initiative, then drive it to completion

Run a portfolio of projects: Maintain a clear view of all active initiatives, their dependencies, and their status, and help leadership prioritize when trade-offs arise

Align cross-functional stakeholders: Facilitate working sessions, secure decisions, and keep executives and contributors aligned on scope, timing, and accountability

Measure and report outcomes: Build KPIs and dashboards, and deliver concise status updates and executive briefings on progress, risks, and results

Manage risks and issues: Identify obstacles early, escalate when needed, and keep initiatives on track

Drive change adoption: Document new processes, train teams, and confirm that changes stick after launch

Strengthen PM practices: Help establish lightweight templates, governance, and tooling that raise the quality of project execution across CYPFER

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in project or program management, including leading cross-functional business initiatives

Proven record of delivering process improvement or operational efficiency projects with measurable results

Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to map processes, build KPIs, and turn data into recommendations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders

Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority

Highly organized, able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and shifting priorities

Bachelor's degree in business, operations, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Willing and able to work onsite at our Allen, TX office 3 days per week

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification

Experience with Scoro or a comparable professional services automation (PSA) platform

Experience in the cybersecurity industry or another professional services business

Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement training

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid role based in Allen, TX. Candidates must be willing to commute to the Allen office 3 days per week (M/W/Th), with the remaining days remote.
