About the Role:
Li & Liang Dental Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our growing team in Oakland, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in keeping our practice running smoothly while working alongside a dedicated and passionate dental team.


Responsibilities:

• Process and submit dental insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Review and post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments to accounts
• Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals with insurance carriers
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, balances, and payment plans
• Maintain accurate patient account records and billing documentation
• Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation

Requirements:

• 3+ years of dental billing or dental office experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with dental procedure codes (CDT codes) and insurance claim processes, fee upgrade
• Experience with dental practice management software opendental
• Strong understanding of PPO, and Medicaid/Denti-Cal insurance plans
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills with insurance company
• Ability to work independently
