Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Melbourne, FL . Interested? Job Summary: The SMT Operator I is responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment in support of Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures Here's what you'll get: Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly + 10% shift differential for 2nd/3rd shift Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM)3rd Shift (11:30PM - 7:30AM) Length: Temp to direct. Here's what you'd do:- The SMT Operator I is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to support the client's Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures. - Reports to the Operations Manager.- Set up, operate, and maintain screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards.- Ensure the daily build plan is met in accordance with the production planner's requirements.- Interface with complex machine hardware and software.- Identify and report defective components.- Control, document, and process non-conforming material.- Perform minor machine adjustments as needed.- Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity of work performed.- Participate in the development of new product introduction (NPI) by assisting in creating, debugging, and setting up programs; and train new operators to perform NPI as needed.- Ensure product meets established workmanship standards.- Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.- Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area and the surrounding workspace.- Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process. Required Skills / Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED.- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably electronic manufacturing)- Minimum 1 year of e xperience in SMT equipment operation Preferred Skills / Qualifications:- Experience with NPI.- IPC-A-610 Certified.- ESD Training.- Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature. - Knowledge of component handling, including ESD requirements.- Basic computer skills, problem-solving, and workstation skills.- Good organizational skills.- Capable of performing job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids.- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.- Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC-610 requirements.- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary. Attention to detail.
