Entry Level Behavior Technician - Department of Education (Base Access Required)
Pay Range: $23 - $30/hour for clinical work* (based on experience)

As a Behavior Technician in our Department of Education (DOE) program, you’ll play a vital role in delivering in-school ABA services as part of a collaborative team that includes teachers, BCBAs, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and more. What You’ll Do:
- Provide one-on-one ABA support to a student throughout the school day/week
- Build long-term relationships with students, supporting them from elementary through high school or age 22
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance students’ communication, problem-solving, and social skills
- Participate in community-based instruction (CBI) for middle and high school students
- Contribute to a positive team culture through school-year events and collaboration
What You’ll Love:
- Consistent DOE hours: Typically 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with one early release day per week typically
- School schedule & breaks: Enjoy regular school holidays, with the option to pick up clinic/home sessions during breaks (if credentialed with private insurance)

Qualifications
What We're Looking For:

Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.

Good judgment in responding to different situations common among our clients.

Effective and compassionate communication skills when interacting with children and caregivers.

Anyone seeking a rewarding career working with children. Previous experience as a camp counselor, nanny, preschool teacher, paraprofessional, teacher's aide, or childcare volunteer is valuable.
What You Need:
- A genuine passion for making a lasting impact in the lives of students and their school-teams
- Ability to travel to and work on military bases, schools, etc. supporting students in diverse educational settings
- Comfort using tablet technology for data collection, session notes, and communication with your team
- Reliable transportation to commute between DOE schools, ACES locations, and other service areas as needed
- Flexible weekday availability, ideally Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, to meet the needs of students and school-teams
- At least 48 hours of college credits towards a degree plan, or a completed college degree.

Additional Details
*The pay scale provided is the hourly wage range ACES reasonably expects to pay for clinical work (i.e., direct treatment services) performed by team members in the position. ACES pays a different rate for non-clinical work (i.e., trainings, travel time, meetings, etc.) performed by team members, which is paid at 14.00/hour.
