Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Medical Director the individual in this position performs radiographic procedures to assist in a diagnosis of diseases and injuries.
Major Areas of Responsibility, include but are not limited to:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs radiologic exams as prescribed by physicians.
- Determines proper techniques through the selection of voltage, current and exposure time. Verifies radiation intensities.
- Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area.
- Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
- Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law.
- Monitors working area to protect personnel area.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Knowledge of general medical office procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited Standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
Education and Experience:
- Requires Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Two years of recent full-time experience as a Technologist under the direction of a radiologist.
- National Certification (ARRT) and California License (CRT)
- Must hold a current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate. You will have 30-day grace period to obtain your certificate from the date of hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Bending/lifting, pushing/pulling, adjusting, or moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds in all directions and occasionally more.
- Repeating motions that may include the neck, wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Upper extremity demands: Reaching above shoulder and/or below waist
Salary: $41.40 - $41.40 per hour
