Duties
Provides leadership to subordinates and technical guidance to executive/management level representatives from the Military Services, DCMA, and other Government Agencies.
Serves as a focal point, recognized technical expert and advisor providing technical direction and technical leadership over a broad range of equipment, commodities and personnel where several engineering and analysis disciplines are applied.
Supervises personnel performing engineering and analysis operations in support of critical/complex ACAT I, II and III system design, development, and integration contracts.
Leads engineering teams responsible for all engineering and analysis matters at facilities where contractors are designing and building new products and integrating components, systems, and subsystems for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
Reviews and approves comprehensive engineering and analysis surveillance reports which address contractor performance against all cost, schedule and technical requirements.
Coordinates resolution of deficiencies with appropriate Program Management Office personnel.
Provides professional advice, consultation on, and resolution of unusually complex political and technical problems associated with surveillance of DoD acquisition contracts for costly systems in all program life cycle stages.
Provides program status to the Program Management Office and DCMA leaders on a continuing basis and keeps them informed of any issues that may have an adverse impact on the programs including engineering deficiencies.
Ensures collection, analysis, and reporting of pertinent contractor cost, schedule and technical performance data.
