Under the general direction of the Legal Branch's Deputy General Counsel, the Analyst I coordinates clerical and technical support with the legal support team and other departmental offices as it relates to Legal branch work and administration (including but not limited to budgeting and contract administration), and special projects. The incumbent assists legal staff on various matters; prepares complex correspondence; in relation to litigation and administrative matters, develops creative solutions, provides recommendations, develops procedures, and implements them; prepares statistical reports; processes orders, prepares and serves pleadings, subpoenas, petitions, and notices of hearing; plans, implements, and conducts training. With diplomacy, the incumbent responds to written and verbal communications from respondents, attorneys, and the public regarding the status of their cases and on basic procedural matters.

PLP 2025 requires employees to receive a reduction in pay in exchange for monthly hours of PLP 2025 leave credits.
