  • Create 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications for production.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and validation of packaging designs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
  • Work with production and operations teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct basic engineering calculations (load, compression, vibration, etc.) to support packaging performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design or production issues and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and revision control.
  • Stay current on materials, manufacturing techniques, and packaging innovations.
  • Support other engineering and technical projects as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of engineering experience (internships or co-ops highly valued).
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.G., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to packaging design, materials engineering, or manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with corrugated, foam, wood, or similar materials.
  • Basic understanding of testing standards (e.G., compression, drop, vibration).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP or engineering document control systems.

What Success Looks Like
  • Quickly develops practical, manufacturable design solutions.
  • Builds strong collaboration with sales and production teams.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and initiative in solving real-world engineering challenges.
  • Contributes to reducing costs, improving performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
